Yesterday, on Tuesday night, was taking place Baltika SS17 Fashion Show in gardening center Hansaplant. When outside was a huge snow storm, then it’s super nice to spend some time inside surrounded with the flowers and spring/summer fashion. Actually, this year’s show was called Fashion x Flowers so this location was on point!
If you didn’t know that before then Baltics biggest retailer Baltika Group designs and operates on all five fashion brands: Monton, Baltman, Mosaic, Bastion and Ivo Nikkolo. I would say that my this year’s favorite collection was from Ivo Nikkolo brand. I really liked the Ivo Nikkolo styling, because I felt so many times that could wear these outfits right away, straight from the runway. Slip dresses, wide sporty pants, and oversized cuts won my heart from this collection. Really nice job, Aljona, by styling this collection!
Monton collection was inspired by two completely different islands – Island and Cuba. Island collection showed us minimalistic but bold silhouettes, yet in cold tones. Cuba collection was more spicy, with colorful flower patterns and funky accessories. Baltman introduced us Caribian tones, geometric shirts and smart weatherproof outwear. Mosaic collection styling was inspired from 70’s and for me, this styling was a little bit over the top for this contemporary collection. Maybe these 70’s wigs or something was off. Bastion brand brought us the beautiful feminine collection with the pastel tones and I really liked the ladylike elements in styling.
PS! If you hurry up, then you will see the runway show in my Instagram Story as well!
