In September I saw so many light striped shirts with front ties in the London Fashion Week (for example Xiao Li SS17) and now you can see them in the shops already. That’s how the fashion industry works – first we can see them on the catwalks and half a year later you can already purchase these things. I don’t know if you remember, but back in the 90’s all the tie front shirts were a huge hit. However, seeing that everything 90’s is trendy again, this trend popping up again does not surprise me at all.

I think this tie front trend really works in the spring/summer time, especially considering bottoms are becoming higher waisted like I prefer. Actually, I mixed this light striped tie front top together with these cool straight high waist jeans and a silver-shiny mesh bomber jacket. It’s quite young and modern look together with my half-bun hairstyle. My today’s tip for you is to mix that tie front shirt with high waist jeans or skirt and if you would like to experiment more mix it with wide pants or slip dress.
