Cara Delevingne and Suki Waterhouse unite for Burberry AW14 campaign

Work imitates life as London models Cara Delevingne and Suki Waterhouse star in a Burberry campaign together for the first time.

We’ve known each other since we were kids, so now, when we’re working together, it never feels like I’m on my own,” Waterhouse, 22, recently told the Evening Standard of her friendship with Delevingne, 21.

They’ve been pictured partying together countless times, but best model friends Cara Delevingne and Suki Waterhouse have never appeared in a fashion campaign together – until now.

The blondes are joined by rising model star Malaika Firth, while the male contingency is made up of Callum Ball, Tarun Nijjer and Oli Green. Christopher Bailey, Burberry’s chief creative and chief executive officer, commented: “A dynamic British cast brings the artistic spirit of the campaign to life with the iconic Burberry trench coat at its heart.”

Both Delevingne and Waterhouse are branching out into the acting world, with Waterhouse securing a role in Hollywood blockbuster Insurgent, while Delevingne’s TV debut will be broadcast on Sky Arts on June 19.

But both have time for Burberry, the brand which helped propel them to fame; Delevingne first starred in the heritage brand’s spring 2011 ads while Waterhouse became the face of the Brit Rhythm fragrance in 2013.
