I must say that Roberta Einer is one of the most talented Estonian designers I know! When I stepped into her Spring/Summer 2017 Presentation room in the middle of China town I was immediately blown away. The presentation room was like a glamorous wild garden filled with beautiful models who were wearing Robert’s S/S17 design. All these little details caught my attention right away and her craftsmanship is absolutely amazing. I think I don’t even need to talk about her embellishments and embroidery skills because they are already so well known and always delivered with perfection.
This uber-glamorous and highly embellished collection was inspired by Miami Beach and featured floral, hummingbird and fingernail prints inspired by pop-art influenced illustrators Yoko Honda and Jiro Bevis. My absolute favorites were that soft turquoise velvet jumpsuit, leather oversized bomber jacket and that pink leather peplum skirt together with a bell-sleeved stripe print shirt – I would wear them every day all day. Overall her presentation was like a super fancy sleepover in the magical garden.
Bravo!
Thank you, Roberta, for your invitation!
