In the second day of Tallinn Fashion Week, we saw five completely different collections on the runway. My all time favorite Iris Janvier brought a full house to the Hilton Hotel and we didn’t have to disappoint. From season to season they deliver feminine yet fashionable collections and this SS17 collection was styled to the max. Every fashionista knows that training socks and wide corset waistbelts should be in their wardrobe on this spring and Iris Janvier girls know it as well!
The second day started with Kaidi Kuur wedding dresses and nightgowns collection. Overall it’s pretty collection with lots of lace and white in it, just some material usage was questionable for me. Mammu Couture collection was filled with flowers and lace. It’s a pretty romantic dress collection with lots of pastel colors and it felt like the designer was inspired by the dresses from last centuries.
YEAR by Raivo Holm showed us again his outwear collection with lighter jackets and overcoats. I think that overall his collection was really good but the show would have been better if he would have been used a good stylist. Diana Denissova collection talked about “Forest spirit” and this was something totally different than I was expecting to see in TFW. There was too much green in the whole collection and in my opinion, these headpieces didn’t look fashionable or inspiring. Simple flower crown or one flower by the ear would have been enought. Unfortunately, little things can ruin your whole collection so please designers, use a stylist help!
